My great-grandma Seaberg
was born in Sweden
on this date in 1880.
The red and gold ornament,
over 100 years old,
was once hers and now hangs
on my Nana’s Christmas tree.
I love that it’s surrounded
by a Swedish flag garland,
colored lights at least a decade old,
and favorite ornaments
and favorite ornaments
from my childhood
and my mom’s childhood.
Now that’s what I call a family tree!
