I think this is my favorite time of day.
Dusk.
First, the sun gives us
a brilliant final act.
And then the sky casts
this deep, soulful,
moody blue over
the busy world below.
Of course, we’re usually too
distracted by rush hour
and soccer practice
and dinner plans to notice.
But on occasion,
in the evening,
do yourself a favor.
Look up, get still
and breathe in the deep blue dusk.
If you allow,
it will take you in its arms
and carry you home.
