Happy Valentine’s Day!
There’s nothing like
the feeling of falling in love.
You get a little taste of it
every time you discover
something beautiful.
Your heart skips a beat,
you lose your breath a little,
you’re somewhat stunned by
what’s before you.
It only lasts a second,
but it’s worth the quest
to find beauty in your midst.
There was plenty of love
and beauty all around today,
but chocolates or flowers
fade in comparison to
a homemade card from my boy
and his declaration that
I am his one and only Valentine.
Ahhh, love.
