Maybe I looked silly
taking pictures of raindrops
in the gas station parking lot,
but I just had to capture
the amazing pattern
of circles that each drop made
as it hit the gravel.

It reminded me
that we are all just raindrops
on this great big planet,
creating one ripple effect
after another with our
words and actions.

As you’re walking down the hall at work
or pushing your cart
through the grocery store,
make a point of smiling at strangers.
Not only will they almost always
smile back at you,
but they will very likely find themselves
smiling at someone else later on.

It’s the easiest way
to pass a little joy on to others.
You’ll never know how far
your ripple reaches.
