I walked by a stand of flowering trees
and the fragrance was so fresh and soothing.
It took me right back to my childhood;
I played day after day in my back yard,
which had a whole row of lilac trees.
I loved to breathe them in
and I was sent right back there today,
thanks to these sweet-smelling blossoms.
