Nearly all the delicate petals on an orange gerber daisy
fell off today.
Before I discarded
the wilting flower,
I happened to take a closer look.
I was stunned
by what was hiding
inside this flower.
Look at that gorgeous
geometric pattern!
Notice the perfect and orderly
arrangement of remaining petals!
I thought the daisy
was perfectly lovely
on the surface,
but a rare glimpse inside
revealed secret gems,
a beauty deeper
than I’d ever imagined.
