This is my favorite new thing.
It’s a solar-powered crystal
that twirls around
when enough sunlight
reaches it
(sort of like me!).
As the crystal spins,
it casts rainbow beams
all over our walls and ceiling.
This window faces the west,
so sunny afternoons
are especially magical.
I suspect it’s sort of like sitting
inside a snowglobe,
with little bits of rainbow
swirling around my head.
I’ve had lots of toys
in my lifetime,
but a rainbow maker
takes the cake.
