Spring sprung early here
with a glorious, 60 degree day that
turned our winter wonderland
upside down.
The rapidly melting snow
transformed our streets
into rivers,
rushing into gurgling sewers
and sparkling with specks
of sunshine.
A bare tree studied its reflection
in the passing water,
perhaps gleefully realizing
that its days of being
leafless and lifeless
are numbered.
I can relate.
