Like magic wandswaiting for our wishes,
these Gay Feather flowers
had me at hello.
I am smitten.
These beauties have populated
prairies across North America
for generations
but are now listed as
endangered species in the wild.
I have never seen anything like them
and hate to think my first time
could also be my last.
