When I first noticed
these gorgeous clouds,
I was thinking about all the conversations
caught inside those telephone lines:
people celebrating good news,
friends making plans,
relationships being forged or broken,
shared grief across the miles.
The lavendar clouds
provided a perfect backdrop
for each conversation;
both welcoming and ominous,
both thrilling and threatening,
both light and dark.
