I spent a heavenly afternoon
at the Landscape Arboretum
with my boys, mom and grandma.
Every nook and cranny
is swarming with
mini miracles like these marigolds.
The coloring is crazy-gorgeous,
with oh-so-delicate outlines
along each petal’s edge.
And the master design
of each flower floors me.
I take in the scents and scenes all around me,
celebrating the beautiful day.
With an explosion of happiness
right there in the center,
it’s as if I’m looking in the mirror.
