and doing what I love,
age be damned.
This is Irv Williams,
a jazz legend around these parts.
He played his sax at an outdoor concert
we attended tonight.
Had I closed my eyes,
there’s no way I would have guessed
a 90-year-old man was playing
that sweet, joyful music.
he’s been playing the sax with glee
since he was just a boy.
And today, he’s an age-defying musician,
still doing what he loves.
He has kept the music alive
all these years,
and I have a feeling
the music
has returned the favor.
