Sometimes the blur of our daily lives
is really quite beautiful.
We can’t possible live in the moment
every moment.
But there is something
comforting and calming
about the rush and routines
of everyday life.
This photo was taken
as I hurried home yesterday
from a longer-than-expected oil change
at the car dealership.
I was intent on getting back
in time for the day’s other obligations.
As I drove through the autumn rain,
I noticed a beautiful blur of fall leaves –
some green, some gold, some brown –
through my rain-splattered windshield.
I snapped this picture
as I zoomed past a bank of trees.
Just a moment in time,
blurry and beautiful,
zipping by at the speed of life.
