I know enough to never wake a sleeping lion,
but I wish I could tell this one we saw at Busch Gardens
how striking she is.
I’d love to snuggle up to that rich coat of fur,
feel fully protected by her strong limbs,
and whisper in her ear:
You. Are. Amazing.
