Everyone is on a spiritual path; most people just don’t know it. – Marianne Williamson

If we’re all spiritual beings having a human experience, our souls must get so confused by all the distractions here – from jobs and mortgages to social etiquette and cultural traditions. We get so many mixed messages about what’s really important that we drive ourselves crazy, struggling to see the forest through the trees.

Only when we answer our calling does the road to happiness become clear. When we step onto a path that leads to our true passions and purpose, I believe our spirits immediately recognize it, like we’ve finally come home. You feel the pull, hear the wild thumping of your heart, lose track of time, sense the adrenaline pumping through your veins. You can’t help but run – not walk – down that sacred path. How amazing!

Then our focus becomes two-fold: 1) enjoy this journey to the fullest and 2) keep our eyes on the road. There will inevitably be speed bumps, construction delays, and rest stops along the way. We may feel pressured to pull over by any number of influences – family, finances, friends, fear. Just remember: the further we stray from our path, the harder it is to get back on track, align with our purpose and fall back in love with life. Stay the course; it was made just for you.

Beauty Tip: No clue how to locate your path to your happy place? Think about the stuff you loved to do as a kid. Then think about how you might translate those hobbies, activities, or skills into time well spent today?
