Hello, Gorgeous! Today’s Happy HeART Giveaway is a hand-swirled, fused glass pendant hung from a black satin necklace, courtesy of Michelle Gotthold from Gotthold Glass. Her process is pretty fascinating: “I start with a pile of small glass chips, which I heat in my kiln until they melt into a glass puddle with the consistency of molasses. I then reach into the kiln with a metal stick and swirl the molten glass around to achieve the pattern in the glass. Once the puddle cools, I select the most interesting parts to cut out and turn into pendants.” Be sure to check out Michelle’s Gotthold Glass etsy shop for more pretty pendants and show her some love on Facebook.
Michelle says she tries to capture a sense of motion in each pendant and that this one reminds her of ocean waves crashing upon the shore. Yes, totally! That is one of my all-time favorite sights and sounds. So, to enter please share:
