I wish I could bottle up this trolley car full of innocent, genuine wonder and delight.
My mom and I took the boys to a bedtime story-trolley ride the other night.
Yes, we rode a refurbished 100-year-old trolley,
gobbled up juice and cookies,
and then listened to her author friend, Marsha Chall,
read aloud from her new book One Pup’s Up
.
It’s a charming counting story and she read it with great expression,
but there’s no huge plot or great drama.
Still, the kids were completely enthralled.
Nothing mattered beyond that moment,
that silly story
or the joy it brought them.
I witnesssed the very definition of
living in the now,
thanks to a trolley full of munchkins.
BTW – if you’re missing the Beauty Board,
I’ve moved it to the I’m Choosing Beauty Facebook page.
So, hope on over and get your goodies there each Sunday!
