Yesterday was already exciting, even before this angel crossing. At a meeting with my publisher, I got to see the latest designs for my book and it is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! The book comes out next fall (I know, another year…but it’s gonna fly by). The designer, Deb, has put in so much work and attention to detail, making my words and photos really come to life. And Steve from Fairview Press really liked them, too (he’s kind of the quarterback of this whole process).
During our meeting, Steve said something very sweet that made my heart skip a beat. He said that whenever he sees beauty in unexpected places, like a flower growing out of a crack in the sidewalk, he thinks of me. What an awesome compliment!
So, I love, love, love that a perfect example of that swooped in just hours later. I received this emailed picture from Steve with this subject line: Choosing Beauty over lunch. He had walked outside after our meeting (it was a glorious, warm fall day here) and noticed this angel crossing sign while heading to lunch. Took a picture with his cell phone and sent it to me. How cool is that!? I think the next time we meet, it should probably be within 400 feet of that sign. :o)
