I love sweet surprises – good-news, happy-heart moments that are too good not to share. Like this road sign. For years, the primary road we take to get to and from home has been riddled with potholes – bumps, dips and craters that could swallow a car. But it looks like our rocky road may get fixed and re-paved, beginning today. I might have to get out of my car and bow down to the construction workers!
This photo of me and my dad is proof positive of another superb surprise this past weekend. Brad gave me and my dad a sweet Father’s Day gift: tickets to the Minnesota Twins game. When I was a kid, I used to love going to Twins games with my dad. We even went to Game Six of the 1987 World Series, which I’ll never forget. The tickets Brad got for us were crazy-good – three rows up from the Twins dugout, right near home plate. It was a terrific game {we won in a nail-biter!} and I relished the chance to experience it with my dad, as well as my brother and Nana.
I’ve also had some surprise invitations lately for projects I’m swooning over, but I can’t quite share yet. Can’t wait until I can let you in on those! In the meantime, I’d love to hear about the sweet little surprises showing up in your life lately. Let’s have a surprise party! Leave a comment and share some of the magic happening in your midst!
