Wait a second. Can it really be September already!? The summer flew by so fast, I have whiplash {so much for my big plan to soak it up like never before}! Don’t get me wrong, there’s been lots of loveliness – so many lazy days with the boys, staying in our PJs till noon or soaking up sunshine around town. I just feel a lit

The transition from summer into fall is always the hardest for me. I have friends who say they don’t give it a second thought, but I always feel a huge shift in the air. It’s the same nervous energy I used to feel on the first day of school – can you feel it?

This season, there’s lots to look forward to, but I want to make sure I feel far more overjoyed than overwhelmed. That will require some good prioritizing and self-care on my part. Luckily, I’m working on projects I’m crazy about! For starters, I’ve got three great-big-awesome-blossom online launches scheduled for this month {yes, three!}. The first happens MONDAY! So, I hope you’ll check back on Labor Day for the big news.

And September is already sparkling with some really great events on my calendar. If you live in Minneapolis, swing by The Cottage House on Sept 10th. I’m honored to be part of their peace event with fabulous Joan Steffend and amazing Echo Bodine. I’m so looking forward to sharing my art {and some new goodies} alongside these real-life wonder women.

The following week includes taking my parents to see one of my heroes, Dr. Wayne Dyer, in Minneapolis. I’ll be sure to report back on our evening out. 🙂 And then I head to The Creative Connection, where I’m moderating a panel on building community through e-commerce. I’m just giddy about connecting again this year with artists I adore. Jo Packham and her team have outdone themselves this year and I can’t wait to be part of it!

My plan for each of these events is to just be present and soak up all the goodness while I’m there, to deeply appreciate moments of inspiration, rejuvenation and connection. I know that worrying about whatever’s on my agenda the next week or day or hour will distract me, not strengthen me. So here’s to an autumn ripe with possibility. I wish mega-magic for all of you in the days ahead!
