Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.
Happy Spring, everyone! Even if the trees aren’t budding yet in your corner of the world, I hope you’re feeling the sense of rebirth and rejuvenation this new season brings. Did it play a part in any of your joy this week? It did in mine…
1) Last weekend, we helped my mom get her yard ready for spring – raking, sweeping, moving outdoor furniture. It was a gorgeous day and fun to see small improvements happen quickly with teamwork. Plus, my nine-year-old whipped me in HORSE and PIG on the basketball court – and I kind of liked it! It’s pretty amazing to see that my own kid is better than me at something {and trust me – he noticed!}.
2) I’ve been playing – truly playing – in my dudio with some new ideas. Some stuff turned out awful, but everything can be painted over and tried again, right? Best of all, sometimes those mistakes inspire great ideas – and now I’ve got a few up my sleeve. 🙂
3) Tru and I had such fun discovering the magic of spring this week. We looked at raindrops tucked inside budding plants. We played pretend baseball {plastic bat, imaginary ball}. We walked in drizzle, splashed in puddles, got a little muddy. And he walked around kissing the trees in our yard. Kissing them. Be. Still. My. Heart.
4) Some old friends came over for dinner {and we grilled out in March!!}. Love being able to pick up where we left off, no matter how much time passes in between get-togethers.
So, what little joys sprung into your life this past week? Share your own bliss list in the comment section or via your own blog.
