Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.

Bliss is knowing you’ve got soul sisters who can swoop in at a moment’s notice to help when you need it. That’s one of the many things I’m thankful for today. I’ve been a little preoccupied this week since this is happening today. So, I asked some of my sweet soul sisters – you may recognize them! – to share their own little bits of bliss for this week’s list. Check out this beautiful batch of gratitude:

“my bliss was last night’s dessert. i’m in a little ten week book group + we are each taking turns in bringing treats. last night a dear friend brought angel food cake with a lime glaze + berries + kiwi in between the two layers + mango sorbet. it was freakin’ amazing.”
~ Rachel Awes of All I Did Was Listen

“This morning, standing at my sink washing dishes and looking out in my backyard, I watched 3 (three!) blue jays swoop down into the apple tree, jump around a little, tip their heads back and forth (i swear they looked like they were looking at me) and then fly away.  Honestly, it left me breathless.”

“This week I was blissed out by the beauty I saw everywhere on my evening walk … from the beautiful sunset amongst huge fluffy cottonball-like clouds, to the birds chirping as if they were having some type of party, to the dandelions in a row just waiting to be wished upon, to the  awesome reflection of the trees and clouds in the lake …. beauty seemed to be at every turn, in every single direction.  It was GOOD!!”
~ Kolleen Harrison of HeartWingSisters

“Today I spent an hour snuggling my baby while the older ones ran around a playground with their friends. The best.”
~ Susie Lubell of Inner Toddler

“We moved into our house a few days ago…still marginally sane!”
~ Aimee Dolich of Artsyville

“tired,  satisfied bliss for this project manager
on finishing strong a huge project that already intimidated me for a bajillion good reasons,
my hubby/partner gimping about on a broken foot in cast
and THEN all but one of our energetic college students
were struck by some sort of stomach plague
and couldn’t help heft the load
and there was this playful grace to go all girl-in-her-sandbox about it,
and juices kept flowing,  project kept rolling,
and we danced our way to the top of the mountain anyway.
Beneath all this dirt I’m still grinning.” 🙂
~ Jennifer Richardson of Ripplespeak

“This week I am bliss-full for the animals that appear in my life with deep messages meant for me to translate. I am grateful for listening, for showing up, and for knowing — It’s ALL Right. “

“i’m in the boston area this week, and received an unexpected invitation to meet artist mimi kirchner! i got to see her studio and talk crafting, and then we went out for indian. and i’m looking forward to meeting longtime blog friend molly and spending time together as we eat and explore boston. i’m so lucky to have the opportunity to travel, and to have contacts everywhere i go! it’s bliss.”
