Baby, You're a Firework {The Little Bliss List}

Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.

KABOOM! Hope your week’s been one big explosion of bliss! Wednesday was Independence Day here in the U.S. – a vacation day complete with brats and fireworks right in the middle of the week! Sweet! But the week had plenty of other bright spots, too:

Brad and I went out for Sunday brunch together; we sat outside at a French-inspired cafe called Salut. It reminded me of our trip to Paris – the last big trip before we had kids. It was lovely to just watch the world go by and chat for a while. We’ve started doing these brunches more regularly and find those couple of hours over eggs and coffee are an awesome way to reconnect before the start of a new week. Totally worth paying a babysitter for!

Best billboard ever, right? I just swooned over it when I first saw it. And when I posted the picture on Facebook last week, it was so awesome to see all the LIKES and SHARES – seriously fun to see other people get excited about LOVE.

I spent an unusually large amount of time at home this week – meetings-free! Sounded great at first, but I started to go stir crazy. So, one evening, despite it been record-breaking HOT here, I put barefoot Tru in the stroller and went for a walk. It felt so good to just sweat out my cabin fever! I snapped the shot above – and was dazzled by the little ball of light that appeared in the pic.

Yesterday, I did get out and about and treated myself to a scrumptious salad – salmon, asparagus, and lots of other goodness – with a side of sunshine. Yummy.
