Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.
Well, it sure wasn’t hard to find bliss this week, since we had a mini vacation at the lake! But that’s not the only spot where joy found me. Check it out….
1) One of my favorite moments up north was when I was swimming with my boys. Brad and my brother Kai played water frisbee and we laughed soooo hard at Kai’s diving catches {lots of cringe-worthy belly-flops and funny faces for his giggling nephews!}.
2) I dozed off in a hammock, mere feet from the water’s edge, surrounded by giant trees and blue sky. My kind of power nap.
3) I spoke to the eWomen Network’s Minneapolis chapter about purposeful blogging and was so touched by the stories and gratitude many of the attendees shared with me afterwards. Great women, heartfelt connections. {Thanks, Allyssa Granland, for the pic!}
4) Tru ate watermelon!!!!! Sensory issues have kept our little guy from eating any produce other than an occasional banana. He literally gags on fruit – including those teeny-tiny chunks in a cup of yogurt. But, by some miracle, he actually TRIED and continued to EAT the watermelon on his plate this week. Brad and I looked at each other in shock. When I asked Tru if he wanted more and he said YES {!!!}, we all gave high fives around the table!
5) I’m off to Chicago today to be part of a cool program {details to come} and to attend this blogging conference. I’m pretty sure I have the best. life. ever. 🙂
Oh! You, too? Share why! I’d love to know about the bliss in your life lately. Share in the comment section or via your own blog – and please visit others who post their bliss here {just click on their photos below}! You can participate in the link party below through Sunday at midnight central.
