Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.
I know some folks hate surprises, but I’m the kind of girl who LOVES ’em. I go weak in the knees for unexpected joy! And there were several sweet surprises this week…
1) Ryder lost a tooth; it’s been a long time since one of those popped out! I was so delighted to see how giddy he got over it – and how he still, at age nine, believes wholeheartedly in the Tooth Fairy. So sweet.
2) One of my favorite people on the planet, my cousin Dave, called: he was coming through town on a two-hour flight layover! I just adored him when we were kids – and I still do. So, brunch with Dave was a great surprise!
3) I got a postcard from Jess Greene, who’s embarked on the awesome and ambitious JumpStart Creativity Tour in 50 cities across the U.S. and Canada. These digital days, a handwritten note in the mailbox is such a treat!
4) I needed some new shoes and found a perfect pair of black heels at the first store I tried. Shocker!!!
