Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.
One of the things that brings me great joy is seeing and supporting friends who are lighting up the world in wonderful ways. So, I thought I’d turn today’s Little Bliss List into One Great Big Shout-Out to some of them.
First off, this idea was inspired by my friend Susie Lubell’s sweet post yesterday. She, by the way, has an awesome new web site {check out her incredible art!}. Ahh, I love how modern technology can keep us connected, even when we’re an ocean apart.
Our mutual soul sister, Rachel Awes, just announced the pre-sale for her gorgeous book – All I Did Was Listen. Oh, friends. I got to thumb through the galley a couple of weeks ago and did not want to put it down! Rachel is an artist and a therapist who listens for golden bits of wisdom that come from her clients, adds her own sparkly thread, and brings it to life through her art. I’ve already ordered a girlfriend pack {5 books PLUS 5 greeting cards PLUS 5 bookmarks} for holiday gifts. You probably should, too. ;o)
Speaking of life-affirming books, another dear friend {and BuzzWorthy contributor!} – Joan Steffend – is celebrating the release of her latest title, peace in, peace out. It’s brilliant, with brief reflections on how to invite and create peace in your/our world. One side of the book has a thought prompt on how to invite peace in, while the opposite page features a related tip for taking that idea out into the world. And then, at the back, there’s a journal section so you can write your own reflections.
Need some new underwear? Need a better attitude? You’re in luck, my friends. Amanda Oaks of Kind Over Matter and Jenn Gibson of Roots Of She have joined forces again {wonder twin powers, activate!} to launch Positive Panties. Yep. Cute underwear with positive messages meant to serve as a kick in the pants. They’re raising funds on Kickstarter to get the project underway; check out their darling launch video over there!
Finally, Andrea Scher is one of the bravest bloggers I know. Her vulnerable, totally real posts – especially the ones about mamahood – just cut me to the core. And now she’s launching a brand new ecourse – Cultivating Courage – that starts Monday {10/8}. If you could use an extra dose of bravery in your life to get through + honor the hard stuff, she will be a fearless, fantastic leader for you.
There you have it. A bunch of women following their bliss to help you find yours. So, what say you? What brought you bliss this week – or are there other people/projects you want to share?
You can participate in the linky party below through Sunday at midnight central {and click on other entries below to visit other blissful bloggers} or simply leave a comment.
