welcome to the blog
This blog was the beginning of my own yellow brick road back in 2006. When I first started taking photos and writing about beauty in my midst — every day for an entire year — I had no idea how it would change my world, lift my spirits and offer a pathway into becoming a creative, intuitive entrepreneur. I feel so blessed to work as an artist, writer and mentor from my home studio (we call it the dudio, since it was originally a dining room!). It’s true — there’s no place like home.
When I’ve got more to say than an Instagram post can hold, I love using this space to share stories about my art, the angels, braving cancer and hardship, and about honoring the magic around us and within us. So happy you’re here!

Why I’m Acting So Weird Lately (and why you might be too)
I have not been myself lately. I go from telling my kids to QUIET DOWN to begging them to SPEAK UP. My neck's been stiff for a week, I'm even more absent-minded than usual and my ability to tolerate unexpected disturbances has sucked. This weekend, one of my kids...
The Best Gifts for Breast Cancer Patients
From the moment I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, and to this day, I have been so amazed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family and even strangers. I suspect anyone who's faced extensive treatment, surgeries and monitoring...
